It includes the same billet 7075-T6 upper receiver, HD15 Gen2 ambidextrous lower receiver, and 15-inch M-LOK handguard as every other builder set in the lineup. The difference is purely cosmetic: instead of black anodize (fundamental), Battleworn (two-tone), or ETC camo (three-color), this version gives you a clean, uniform single-color Cerakote finish across all three pieces.

Single-color Cerakote is the most popular builder set option for shooters who want a specific color (FDE, Carbon Gray, Elite Blackout, or other choices) without the complexity of a multi-tone pattern. It also pairs well with aftermarket parts: an FDE builder set with a black trigger, BCG, and stock creates a clean two-tone look without paying for a multi-color finish.

Is Cerakote worth the extra cost over anodizing?

If you want any color other than black, Cerakote is the only option since anodizing is limited to black. If you are fine with black and want to save money, the anodized version is the better value. If you want maximum corrosion protection for a build that will see rain, humidity, saltwater environments, or heavy field use, Cerakote provides measurably better protection than anodizing in independent salt spray tests.

Can I add more components in the same Cerakote color later?

Yes. You can send individual parts to 360 Precision for Cerakote application, or order additional Cerakote components (like a complete upper or builder set in a matching color) at the same time to ensure the best color match between batches.
