The 360 Precision 16″ Complete Upper in Anodized is a fully assembled billet AR-15 upper receiver group with a 16-inch 416R stainless steel dimpled barrel, finished in Black Type III Mil-Spec hard-coat anodize. This is the standard-finish version of the 16-inch complete upper lineup, offering the same barrel quality, BCG, and receiver machining as the Cerakote and Battleworn versions at a lower price point.

The 16-inch barrel is the most versatile length in the AR-15 platform. It delivers full 5.56 NATO velocity, is legal as a standard rifle without NFA paperwork, and works with a midlength gas system that produces a smooth, soft recoil impulse. The 416R stainless steel dimpled barrel in an SPR contour provides match-grade accuracy with the weight savings of a dimpled profile, which reduces mass and improves heat dissipation during sustained strings of fire.

Why the dimpled barrel?

The SPR-contour dimpled barrel used on all 360 Precision 16-inch uppers is not just cosmetic. Each dimple removes a small amount of steel from the barrel surface, which accomplishes two things: it reduces overall barrel weight (making the rifle faster to shoulder and easier to hold on target), and it increases surface area for heat dissipation. During sustained fire or competition stages where you are shooting 20 to 30 rounds in a string, a dimpled barrel sheds heat faster than a smooth-contour barrel of the same profile, which helps maintain accuracy across the string.
